Testimonial

Buck,

I had the pleasure of meeting a couple of your guys this weekend and both were great guys. I just wanted to let you know about Rich and how much I appreciated what he did and he will never know how much it my son loved it.
Some of us was talking and I knew I kept hearing my son blowing his duck call. I did not know that Rich had him out there working with him on learning to call ducks and correcting his mistakes. He is great with kids and him taking that time with my 11 year old son is something Zach will never forget. I also appreciate what he did my passion in life is working with kids in the outdoors and introducing them to hunting and seeing Rich with my son I could see his love for what he is doing and is a remarkable young man. He may not know what him taking a few minutes and spending it with my son or any kid does make a difference. Zach called his mom and told her about how he helped him
Buck ,you have a fine young man there keep him encouraged and because he is and will make a difference. The future of hunting is in the hands of our youth and the few minutes he spends with a kid will make a difference and he has the passion.

Just wanted to say thanks

Friends of Sanganois

These are pictures from our 2007 Illinois youth hunt at Sanganois
Conservation Area in Illinois. The Friends of Sanganois want to thank Buck
for his donations of calls over the years to our kids. The kids that hunt
the youth hunt all get a duck call provided by Friends of Sanganois.
Without your help we would not be able to put on such a great weekend for
the kids. The hunting went well and the kids and adults enjoyed a weiner
roast after the mornings hunt. Again thanks for the help.

Buck,

This is a picture of the first day of a four day hunt in south western manitoba about 60 miles north of Brandon . this pic is on Oct. 17th 07. This was our first time ever to shoot decoying snows and blues. You can see the white call hanging from my lanyard, its your snow call . My buddy on the far left uses your new sorta single and really likes it. In four days we killed 2 gadwalls, 5 pintails, 95 mallards, 16 snows, and 57 canadas. My 2nd trip over the border and cant wait until next year. Thanks for the snow call , meet Brad at Mack 's Fall festival and he told me if I had any luck to send a pic .. Thanks

A memorable 13th birthday...

We met at Cabelas in Rogers MN on September 1st and you engraved Happy Birthday Cody from Buck into my kids free duck call. I will always remember my 13th Birthday because of that. I hope my dad wins the duck hunting trip drawing so we can come to Arkansas and hunt with you . That would be another great memory for me if that happened.

Thank you,
Cody Conner

Hey Mr. Gardner, it was a pleasure talking to you today. Here is a picture
of me, as you requested. My dad is on the left, I am in the middle, and
Sunny, our lab is on the right. This picture was taken after a very
succesful morning that me and my dad shared together, just us two in the
blind. We were gone by 8. I look forward to talking with you again! See
ya later. -Grayson

Michigan Ducks Unlimited Kids Build Duck Calls

Eighteen DU kids were introduced to the art of duck calling at the Midland DU banquet on tuesday sept 12th. The calls were part of the build a duck call kits supplied by Buck Gardner. It didn't take long for the kids to get the calls out of the baggies and ready to go. I felt like a conductor trying to quiet the kids so I could show them some basic fundamentals and after a few pointers they actually sounded pretty good. I don't think the Midland Holiday Inn where the banquet was held will ever be the same though. Thanks Mario, Tamara and Rose for making this happen on short notice.

Straight Talk CD brings 1st time caller 1st place!

Here are the pictures from last Saturday's Midwest Waterfowl Fest sponsored by SCHEELS. My daughter Fallon wanted to try the duck calling contest because her brother Cole won it 3 yrs ago, but she has never done it before.
We stopped by SCHEELS Friday night so Cole and Fallon could get their FREE Buck Gardner "build a call kit". That night both of my kids listened to the "Straight Talk CD" and came up with a calling game plan. Fallon mentioned to me that the CD was very easy listening and the instructions were very clear. So early Saturday morning, she was in the backyard blowing up a storm with her TALL TIMBER ll call and I guess it worked cause she beat out 19 other young boys for the 1st place trophy!! I spoke with Clay Whittlesey (gentleman who MC'd the event and he said that she won "hands down in points"). There's a picture included of my son, Cole and daughter, Fallon together with their 1st and 3rd placed trophies. Tell Buck for me that it was a real pleasure for me to see my daughter do so well, it should make for a pretty interesting fall with DAD duck hunting...who do I bring to do the calling?? Of course, I'll be bring both of these young hunters!

Sincerely,
